We love this recipe as it is so easy when cooking outdoors and a great way to get fruit into the kids! It's very simple to double up for more people and another great bonus is that it is dairy free.
Ingredients
200g plain chocolate, broken into very small pieces
55g sugar
55ml water
1 tbsp golden syrup
Selection of chopped of fruit: strawberries, pineapple, raspberries, banana, etc.
Bamboo skewers or similar for the fruit chunks.
Method
Heat the water and sugar in the Cookpot until the sugar melts and the mixture looks like a syrup.
Raise the pot further from the heat and slowly add small chunks of chocolate whilst stirring. As a guide the pot needs to be no hotter than a cup of tea.
As the chocolate starts to melt, keep stirring and start adding the syrup, don't overheat. The resulting mix should be silky and smooth.
Serve in a pre warmed bowl or straight from the cookpot.
